Hi, I’m Amanda Engracia Ayala (she/her/ella) and I am a multicultural Latinx Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (#R6414). Since 2019, I have been providing mental health services to a diverse range of folks throughout Oregon. I have been in private practice since 2020.

I received my undergraduate degree at UCLA in 2014 and my Masters of Arts in Marriage, Couple, Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark Graduate School in 2019. I am registered in the state of Oregon and under the supervision of both Dr. Pilar Hernandez-Wolfe, LMFT (#T0971) and Cayla Panitz, LPC (#C3608).

My father immigrated from Mexico and I was born at OHSU to a white mom who is of Euopean decent. My family is from Colima, Mexico and Southern California. Prior to my career as a relational therapist, I worked in Los Angeles for more than a decade as a Certified Professional Nanny for high profile families. I am the oldest daughter of three and the first in my family to receive a graduate degree.

While not in the office, I tend to center my heart through plants, beaches, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. One of my favorite things I look forward to is visiting with family in Mexico and the intentional reclaimation of lost wisdom due to cultural assimulation and white supremacy.

As a therapist, it is an honor to witness your pain and healing journey. My goal is to gently work toward your growth edge to create change in a gentle safe container.
